Team Troyak

Sisters Stephanie and Rebecca Troyak grew up in Ontario, Canada, both starting dance at the age of 2 years old. They trained together side by side, from Canada, to Texas, from competitions, to colleges, to professional companies. Throughout their journeys, from day one, they became Team Troyak, always supporting each other, dancing together and apart, as a dynamic duo invested in each other's success.

Rebecca

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, So You Think You Can Dance, Tyra Banks, Jimmy Kimmel Live, USC Kaufman, Dolly Parton, YoungArts, US Presidential Scholar 

 

 Originally from Ontario, Canada, began her dance journey at 2 years old and began immersing herself in all dance styles and dance competitions globally. At the age of 12, she relocated to Dallas, TX, where she continued her training at Next Step Dance and Performing Arts and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Even during her high school years, Rebecca graced stages across the Dallas Arts District, including the Winspear Opera House, AT&T Performing Arts Center, Dallas Symphony, and the Montgomery Arts Theater, while earning numerous competitive titles at several competitions and dance competitions across the US. 

 

In 2014, Rebecca was recognized and named a Young Arts Finalist in Choreography and Modern Dance. She attended YoungArts week in Miami and was then nominated for Presidential Scholar in the Arts, recognized by the White House. Following her graduation, Rebecca further honed her skills at the Alvin Ailey Dance School before joining the inaugural class of the esteemed USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. At USC, she had the privilege of working closely with renowned choreographers such as William Forsythe and was able to showcase her talent at prestigious venues like LACMA, The Music Center, and the USC Football Field, The Joyce Theater, as well as internationally in Tokyo, Japan as part of a "Rising Stars in Dance" Showcase.

 

During her time at USC, Rebecca also participated in renowned dance intensives, including Nederlands Dans Theatre, Jacobs Pillow, Springboard Danse Montreal, Hubbard Street, Batsheva and more. Upon graduation, she embarked on a professional dance career, performing with the Martha Graham 2nd Company, competing in the top 20 of So You Think You Can Dance, and appearing on various platforms such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, HBO's Young Arts Special TV series, and several commercials.

 

Rebecca's versatility led her to collaborate as both a dancer and a choreographer with Tyra Banks on her immersive dance show, Modelland. After this project, Rebecca pursued a new avenue by auditioning for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Here, she completed three seasons, sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Dolly Parton, The Jonas Brothers, Queen, and Luke Combs. Her journey with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders was documented on both DCC Making the Team and an upcoming Netflix series.

 

Throughout her career, Rebecca's greatest joy has been inspiring the next generation of dancers and sharing her love and passion for dance. She looks forward to nurturing young talents and helping each dancer live their dreams!! 

Stephanie

Dance Magazine 25 to Watch, Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Batsheva, Sleep No More, Faust Best Actress/Dancer, NYU Tisch, YoungArts

 

Born in Ontario, Canada, Stephanie began dancing at 3 years old. She trained in Toronto, at the National Ballet School of Canada, and in all styles of dance competitively, before moving to Dallas, Texas. She trained at Next Step Dance and graduated from the Booker T. Washington HSPVA, receiving multiple national titles. She was selected as a Young Arts Finalist her senior year, and was nominated for U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. 

 

She then moved to New York, attending NYU's Tisch School where she received a BFA in Dance. Before graduating she joined Andrea Miller's Gallim Dance. She then joined the Batsheva Dance Company Ensemble in August 2015, performing work by Ohad Naharin & Sharon Eyal.

She then went on to join internationally acclaimed Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch performing worldwide, including works by Pina Bausch and new creations by Alan Lucien Øyen & Dimitris Papaioannou. In her first season, she played the role of Anna II in “The Seven Deadly Sins,” and was nominated for the prestigious German Theater prize “Der Faust” 2018 for the category Best Actress for her performance in this role. Following her success as an international performer & artist, the National Arts Center of Canada produced a feature documentary about Stephanie's life and career entitled PORTRAIT: Stephanie Troyak. After 5 years with the company, she relocated back to the US, where she continued off-broadway and dance theater stage appearances including the lead role of "Eugenie" in Melanie Laurent's opera "Eugenie's Tears," and "Broken Theater" by Bobbi Jene Smith. She is currently residing in New York, and most recently performed in NYC's hit immersive theater show Sleep No More as Lady Macbeth, Lady Macduff, Ms. Danvers and Agnes DeWinter.

After some dabbling into childhood acting such as Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front, Stephanie also wanted to focus more attention on film & TV while at NYU. Shortly after school, she landed a recurring guest role in 2 seazons of  Netflix Original TV series "Greenhouse Academy," guest starred in "The Girlfriend Experience", and will star in Maggie Gyllenhaal's "The Bride" in fall of 2025.

Stephanie continues to choreograph and create her own work on stage & film. She was selected as a 2012 YoungArts Finalist in Choreography, which later won her the title of U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts semi-finalist. In 2014, her work was selected for the Young Choreographer’s Festival in NY, and since created work in Batsheva Ensemble Creates & Tanztheater Wuppertal's UNDERGROUND. She has been commissioned to make work for Wanderlust Dance Project, SoulEscape Dance Company, Wayne State University and solos for dancers at USC, Juilliard, SUNY Purchase and NYU.

Stephanie also creates and guest teaches regularly for companies, studios, intensives, and universities across the globe. She has been a master teacher & choreographer for NYU, USC, CLI Studios, Wayne State University, Sam Houston State University, San Jacinto University, Joffrey School of Dance, Gallim Dance Company, Batsheva Dance Company, SoulEscape, Next Step Dance, Dance Industry Performing Arts Center, and more.
